In my dream, I am somewhere with my family, and we are riding rides. The weird part is that we are all dressed up. I am in a pretty purple and pink dress, but seem to be running around with it on and riding all the rides. Meanwhile, my family is doing the same thing. Also, I realized that the place we are at isn't a theme park, it is some sort of place that looks like it. Except, this place looks more like a reception area. I am thinking maybe we were dressed up for some sort of reception and then decided to go have some fun on some rides.

"Christmas"
In my dream it's Christmas Eve and as usual everyone has gone over to my Aunt's House. We're all relaxing and having a good time. As the night goes on, everyone starts opening gifts, and as I go through my pile I notice this one oddly shaped gift. Just as I go to open the gift and find out what it is I wake up.

Response to christmas

I hate those dreams when you wake up before you know the end.

"the chase"

this week, i had a dream that my two roommates told me they were tkaing me somewhere in my car, but they wouldn't tell me where becausei would be scared. So, i figured it was just like a haunted house or something like that. As we were driving, we appraoched a long dirt road and you couldn't see anything because it was so dark. All of a sudden they started to reach a speed of about 80 on this tiny road, and all of a sudden out of no where, a bear starts chasing the car going at the same speed and we couldn't escape from it. So they told me to duck because for some reason the bear wanted me and then i woke up.

The Terrible Night

The day started when I went into work. There was nothing accomplished by the lunch crew. The plates were not stocked up, silverware wasnt rolled, and the tables were filthy. Customers were pouring through the door and everything was a mess. I asked one of the managers for help and they both walked into the office as if they didnt have a care in the world. The cooks were upset that nothing was being done. The people were mad and now I felt as if I had to take care of things. Then I woke up.

"The Bourne Marathon"

I am running down 495 in "the boston marathon"...however everyone is running to Bourne from Milford which is alot longer than the boston marathon. There are over 8,000 runners who are running to the Bourne Bridge. I am with my Uncle and some of other person who I can't remember. I recognize some other runners and feel excited about competing. As I cross over the Bourne Bridge, there are TV cameras everywhere and I find out I finished 23rd overall. I am in complete shock and start calling everyone I know to tell them how well I did and that I actually finished. Everyone starts jumping into the canal once the race is over as a celebration and to cool down. As I am swimming, I see a boat coming that has a siren going off. However I realize that the siren is my alarm clock and I suddenly wake up.

"the chase" an interpretation...
This dream represents the classic dream specimen. What does the bear symbolize in the dream? Perhaps the word bear represents another of its sound meanings? To “bear” witness? To “bear” a burden? To be bare? Or it’s a classic dream of obligations chasing you down even though your friends are trying to steer you clear of deadlines and the semester rushes faster and faster to its ultimate end.

"Halloween"
Its halloween night and I am trick or treating with my best friend. As we're walking down the street she goes missing and i am looking everywhere to find her. I run up and down the streets screaming her name. There are people are walking around but no one stops to help me look or pays any attention to me. Eventually I make it home to find her sitting watching movies with my family.

"escaping death"
I do not remember this dream completely, but i do remember many parts of it. in this dream there is me and my family. we are all in this wierd area, it looks like a place where people park there cars in the basement of buildings. it is dark, and there is no one around but us. it seems like a scary place, like from a horror movie. we are all talking, and drinking soda, and laughing as if everything around us is normal. as we start to walk farther we reach a building. i do not remember when exactly we met some lady, but she turned out to be a killer. she tried to chase us all and kill us. i am desperately trying to fight for my life, but she keeps on running after me. along the way i lose the rest of my family and i am alone. i seem to be running in many places that are not even linked to each other. there are times when i see my old nieghborhood, and i am running through there on all the familiar streets, trying to escape the jaws of death. i only remember parts and pieces to this dream. there is also a part where i am in a wierd building and i climb out the window and jump down many flight of stairs just to get away. this lady looks crazy with blood on her face and a knife in her hand. i am going through many obstacles, placing things in front of her to get her away, and panting for my breath along the way. at the end at last, i find shelter in one of my neighbors houses from the neighborhood i lived at years ago, and he calls the police. when she finds me the police have arrived and taken her away.

"Trapped"
I wake up late for a class and rush getting dressed and out of my dorm. When I try to open the door it won't budge. I go over to the RA's office to tell him the door stuck and I'm late for a class. When I speak to him he ignores me and continues typing on the computer. I yell at him and try several ways to get his attention, but I remain unnoticed. After falling at getting the RA to notice me. I run to other doors in the residence hall and try to open them, but have no luck.

"My Friends"

Once again, my dreams have left me remembering little of their content. So all that I can remember of dreams that I have had recently this week is that my friends have definitely been in them.

Sorry for the once again boring barely there dream. I keep trying to remember, but as soon as my alarm goes off...the dream disappears.

livinginanabnormalworld,

I have definitely had dreams of being dressed up in odd places. To help interpret this I've got a question for you...how does being dressed up make you feel? Does it seem to make you uncomfortable and tie you down/limit you? Or does it make you feel at all empowered? I think that depending on how it makes you feel could help you interpret the feelings that your dream was trying to portray.

“Baby Trouble”

This weeks dream was about my cousin’s babies. I had a dream that a group of us brought them to the mall and while we were walking through the mall really weird things that don’t usually happen, happened. My cousin forgot their food so they couldn’t eat, then one of them was dropped because there were too many things in our hands. Then one by one they started becoming missing and we could not find them. I woke up almost in tears because I love those kids so much and it got me worried.

TRAPPED

This dream was very scary but very short. We were out on vacation as a family and I was sitting poolside. For some odd reason we had 2 sheep and a camel with us. I didnt want to go in the water because I thought it was too cold but my brother made me go in. Once I got there I was awake and concious but right when I went under my body froze, I couldnt move or open my eyes.. all I knew was that I was under water, couldnt move, could barely breathe, and felt trapped. It was like I was paralyzed. After about 5minutes of freaking out under water my body got a shock and I rose to the top. I ran over to my parents freaking out telling them what happened and thats all I remember. I wasnt sure if I dreamt this because I've been stressed out and felt trapped or what.

"SCHOOL"

This dream happened one night this week that I woke up during the night and fell back to sleep and then I dreamt. That I was here at school waiting for my boyfriend to come here but I had a class in 205/207 the big lecture hall. I guess i was in the process of taking a test or quiz and I saw my boyfriend in the class taking the same test with me but he was sitting in the front, and I was more toward the back. I remember having to get up to throw something away and hearing him tell someone that he knew me. And i was thinking "yea you know me duh" So when the test was over I saw him leave and then went to catch up to him but he wasnt there. That was the end

I feel like maybe that was something telling me that I've been really stressed out lately, taking tests and class but the fact that my boyfriend was there could maybe be that things were going to be ok? Im really not sure. It was very strange though

"Really Scary"

I dreamed that I went to a party at uconn with one of my best friends, Giulian. There were TONS of people there and everyone was really rowdy and there was kegs and alcohol everywhere. All of a sudden, Giulian started complaining of having a head ache. I blew it off and told him to have a few drinks and he would feel better. He said, "No, its really bad!" He said that it was a sharp pain behind his ear...in the back of his head. He complained over and over that it was really bothering him so i finally looked to see what it was. When he turned his head, he had a gunshot would in the back of his skull! he had been shot in the head but it missed his brain and he was alive. He was in shock though, and began acting really strange. then, the trainer from nichols, bill, appeared and took giulian from me. and bill dug the bullet from his head, and then he was fine!!!

“False Sense”
It was late in the night, but the stars and the moon illuminated each and every snow-covered branch in the distance. The pure powder descended slowly from the sky, blanketing the rolling hills leading out to the whitened forest. I stood inside, warmed by a crackling fireplace, staring out a wall-sized window into the sky. My father’s summon broke my concentration and I turned around to see the house in whole. I noticed the massive wooden logged walls first, the fires yellow flicker casting my shadow onto them. It was an aging ski cabin with an upper level overlooking the room below. Multicolored ski’s hung from the wall and my extended family stood around, hand to chin, admiring them. For some reason, every one of them was wearing those cliché wool Christmas sweaters, the ones with reindeer and evergreen trees on them. Continuing their conversation, they walked towards the polished wooden dining table. The single benches on each side matched the length of the enormous table, each piece of furniture looking as if they were fashioned from entire tree trunk. I sat across from my father, his smile reassuring me as we gazed at the feast presented in front of us. Spiral ham dominated the center of the table, surround by every imaginable holiday food. I don’t even remember eating, but instead standing back at the window, gazing once more towards the heavens. I noticed a small twinkle rise slowly from the earth and launch into the sky making me crack a smile as I appreciated its beauty. The ground then began to rumble as a brighter light emerged from the woods. It’s engines roared, felling trees effortlessly as it bellowed black smoke from its tail for its ascent. It shot straight up, arcing its course far up in the atmosphere. It was my uncle who screamed from the balcony, warning my family. Panic ensued as people ran in every direction. I instinctively ran for the basement but stopped at the open doorway. I clearly remember thinking for the first time, “consciously”, my first thought in the dream, that, “Are these the last seconds of my life?” I turned and looked out the massive window once more only to see and feel the earth shaking impact followed by a blinding white light. I woke then in my bed, my heart racing a mile a minute and the white light scorched into my waking memory.

“Sad Girl”
It always begins the same way in first person. I’m looking down at my heavy, black work boots covered in pure white snow. I look down at each of my gloved hands and my winter coat, as if my brain is introducing the scenario to me for the first time, every time. The storm rages as I try to find out where I am. I shield my eyes and tighten my scarf and begin to walk, the hardened snow crunching beneath my boots. I try my best to see what is but only a few inches ahead. Despite the blinding snow, I always feel as if I know where I am going. The farther I walk into the storm however, the colder it gets. Ice begins to form on my boots and before I get to where I feel I need to be, I stop. Looking down, I see that ice has frozen me to the ground. I try as hard as I can, but every tug sends excruciating pains throughout my body. I stand there and slink my head, wind howling, and drop to the ground, defeated. The snow piles onto me for what feels like a lifetime, covering every piece of my body. Then, suddenly, the snowstorm turns to a light flurry. I stand up, awaking in my high school’s senior parking lot. The snowstorm causes an eerie gray landscape that can now be seen for miles. I begin a new search for warmth, but a distracting sound breaks through the silence. I walk towards the school to investigate. As I get closer, the sound becomes clearer. It’s a girl crying. The dream becomes third person, showing me covered completely in worn, all black winter attire, and her in a red long sleeved shirt, winter hat, and jeans. The person crying is sitting on the curb, her face covered by her bare hands. I stand above her, looking down, not sure what to do. I notice the warmth of the school; smoke spouts slowly from a small chimney. I see several people lounging inside, hands kept close to barrels of fire. I look back and forth for a long time, unsure what to do. I finally take a seat in the cold snow beside her. Her identity is concealed, but deep down I feel like it was someone I know. The storm starts once more as I give her my coat. I get colder. She keeps crying. I always awake never knowing who she is.

"Roomate Maddness"

Me and my roomates were all hanging out in our room. We were trying to clean because our room was a HUGE mess. For some reason one of my roomates asked me to fill the fridge with water and I said hold on one sec and she went CRAZY. She all of a sudden started throwing things and saying that no one ever listens to her or anything. She went to the RD and lied to him and said that I tried hitting her and made up this huge lie about me. My RD instantly came in and everyone starting yelling. I woke up in my dream and saw the roomate that told lies about me. She was just staring at me in a creepy way. She then took out a bat and was about to hit me then I woke up. It was a very very weird dream. I was trying to relate it to something but couldnt! Our room is a mess, but why my roomate was crazy in the dream I have NO IDEA!!

"Puppies"

I was following a litter of chocolate lab puppies running in a field somewhere. There was a little boy running with them, probably around 2 years old. All of a sudden, I'm watching the little boy and a puppy comes out of nowhere and jumps on him and they both go down. It was actually quite humorous. After that I woke up.
